Profil IAAHEH

  1. IAAHEH, as an external quality assurance institution for higher education in health study programs, works on the basis of a mandate based on:
    • Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education,
    • Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 3 of 2020 on National Higher Education Standards.
    • Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 5 of 2020 concerning Accreditation of Study Programs and Higher Education.
    • Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 07 of 2020 on the Establishment, Change, Dissolution of State Universities, and Establishment, Changes, Revocation of Private  Higher Education Permits.
  2. The founder of IAAHEH is a health professional community consisting of 7 (seven) health profession organizations, such as Medicine (IDI), Dentistry (PDGI), Nursing (PPNI), Midwifery (IBI), Pharmacy (IAI), Public Health (IAKMI), Nutrition (PERSAGI) and 7 (seven) Associations of Higher Education Institutions in Health, namely Medicine (AIPKI), Dentistry (AFDOKGI), Nursing (AIPNI), Midwifery (AIPKIND), Pharmacy (APTFI), Public Health (AIPTKMI), and Nutrition (AIPGI), and agreed to establish an Independent Accreditation Institute for Indonesian Higher Education for Health (IAAHEH) on December 22, 2011.
  3. The agreement of the 14 organizations was confirmed in the form of the Indonesian IAAHEH Association Legal Entity through the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights No. AHU - 30.AH.01.07. – 2014.
  4. IAAHEH received recognition from the Minister of Education and Culture based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No.291 - 2014.

VISION : To become an accreditation agency at global level in order to facilitate the quality health study program.

The Mission of IAAHEH is as follows:

a)    Develop IAAHEH in a professional and accountable manner;

b)    Improving the quality of accreditation services for higher education health study programs;

c)    Increase the network and recognition of IAAHEH at the National and Global levels

The purpose of IAAHEH is SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound), namely:

  1. Compilation of policies, standards, instruments and procedures for accreditation of higher education in health which is operationalized by IAAHEH (Specific).
  2. Increasing the quality of study programs accredited by IAAHEH based on indicators including competency tests and Tracer Study (Measurable).
  3. The integration of academic, vocational, and professional education accreditation that supports each other to improve the skills of health workers as a whole through synchronous (Achievable) instruments.
  4. Realization of graduates from study programs that have been accredited by IAAHEH who are able to carry out health service practices with competencies according to the standards and needs of the community (Relevant). Realization of the ability of IAAHEH to finance its own operational activities since 2015 (Time Bound).

IAAHEH's Quality Policy is to provide the best Health Study Program accreditation services in accordance with applicable laws / regulations, always strive to make continuous improvements and quality improvements to meet the expectations and needs of stakeholders, and ensure the realization of high quality health education with global standards, by means of :

  1. Improving the quality of IAAHEH institutions continuously through:
    • Comply with statutory requirements and other requirements relating to National Standards of Higher Education, Education Standards and Competency Standards in the Field of Health Sciences.
    • Use the health study program accreditation instrument established by the BAN-PT Accreditation Council.
    • Improve the quality of IAAHEH accreditation services by improving the quality of IAAHEH assessment team in accordance with qualification and competency requirements.
    • Increase the capacity of IAAHEH collaboration network through harmonious relationships with stakeholders.
    • Strengthening IAAHEH management system by improving organizational dynamics and governance including management of human resources, information and communication technology, and adequate work infrastructure.
  2. Implement ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS) in the entire IAAHEH service process effectively and continuously.
  3. Ensure the application of quality standards of health education with global standards to maintain the recognition of international accreditation agencies.

This policy is reviewed and updated as needed on an ongoing basis and is disseminated to all employees and stakeholders.

I. Customer Perspective :

  1.     IAAHEH recommends access and media to improve the quality of study programs as its main added value.
  2.     IAAHEH disseminates its strategic plan to stakeholders including: Study Program, Ministry of Education and Culture, BAN-PT, Ministry of Health and their Network.
  3.     IAAHEH must cooperate with LPUK.
  4.     IAAHEH establishes cooperative relationship with international higher education quality assurance and accreditation institutions.
  5.     IAAHEH establishes cooperative relationship between government, education & health industry, and civil society..
  6.     IAAHEH apply for accreditation or become a member of the association of international accrediting bodies.

 

II. Financial Perspective :

  1.     IAAHEH's formed a Board of Trustees to support the funding of its operational costs.
  2.       IAAHEH's Board of Trustees together with study programs, government, education and health industry, civil society and national and international donors set up a co-funding mechanism.

 

III. Production Perspective :

  1.     IAAHEH should encourage the Accreditation Council to develop a unified instrument for the seven health professions.
  2.       IAAHEH need to offer added value to study programs in the form of:
  3. 1) Operate Study Program Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI);

    2) Increasing the effectiveness of SPMI study programs;

    3) Maintain the continuity of effective study program SPMI.

    4) Preparation of the accreditation process;

    5) Continuous accreditation development;

    6) Feedback on the accreditation process that is: timely; Specific; constructive and fair.

    7) The value of IAAHEH accreditation received international recognition;

    8) Preparation and development of accreditation by the Facilitator as a customer representative;

    9) Implementation of operational values:

    • · Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI);
    • · Quality Cascade ;
    • · Conceptualization-Production-Usability (CPU);
    • · Trusworthy .
    • · Interprofesionalism

    10) Participate in socializing the profile of the fully accredited study program on the website;

    11) Organizing training, seminars and workshops with resource persons from within and outside the country;

    12) Provide facilities so that study programs that are fully accredited can become participants in the Education expo.

     

  4.     IAAHEH's applies CPU (Conceptualization - Production - Usability) standards in its accreditation instruments, namely:

1) The concept of the required health profession and the concept of the health care system that will utilize it.

2) Learning by students and the education they receive.

3) The efforts of educational institutions to ensure that their graduates are used optimally according to the competencies they have obtained.

 

 

IV. Learning and Development Perspective :

 

1. IAAHEH encourages OP and AIP who are not yet a legal entity to become a member of IAAHEH's.

2. All OPs and AIPs that are already legal entities are encouraged to play an active role in the IAAHEH's Members' Meeting (RA) and Accreditation Council.

3. IAAHEH embraces OP and AIP from all health professions other than the seven professions in HPEQ.

4. Conduct training for IAAHEH's assessors, facilitators and validators for the pool of former BAN-PT assessors and new staff.

5. Conducting training for IAAHEH's Division Heads, Accreditation Council and Secretariat staff.
